So as I have been doing, here is a recap of my month:

I had to go away to Saudi Arabia last minute for a week with work to see a customer. Whilst there my training took a hit as I was working long hours. I managed to get one swim in and also one run in, although it was around 34c during my run and I couldn’t manage much more than 3 miles.

On the 18th of May at the Swindon Tri Club I took part in a time trial 400m swim where I got a time of 06mins 37seconds. This is a personal best for me and one of my targets for this year was to get a sub 7 minute swim.

Also on the last day of May I had the Royal Wootton Bassett sprint triathlon again. This year I felt much stronger than I did last year and I’ll write up a my comments for it on it’s own page.

A comparison of Strava times:

  • MayΒ 2014: I spent 8 hours training – a total of 128Β miles.
  • May 2015: I spent 43 hours training – a total of 494Β miles.

May-2015

  • Running: 687 mins
  • Cycling: 1,336 mins
  • Swimming: 524 mins
  • Total: 2,547 mins

From Garmin connect I’ve done over 500 minutes more training in May than I did in April which is great. However June is going to be a tough much and I think my training is going to go down hill a lot unfortunately.
