In April 2012, five of us decided to take a short, 36 hour trip to Amsterdam.
Whilst procrastinating our final year uni work on HotUKDeals somebody saw that Megabus had launched a new service going to Amsterdam, with a special introductory offer. As a group of us used to spend a lot of time on skype chatting whilst in the evenings, we discussed it, phoned an old school friend and the next thing we knew we had booked tickets leaving Victoria, London to go to Amsterdam for one night for a whole £11 each return! It actually cost most of us £15 return to get from Bristol to London on the megabus.
We booked a boat hostel, where Craig got shouted at for stealing all the breakfast to make his sandwiches for the day (we were broken students).
We did a few of the classics, like walked around the red light district, visited the sex museum and got really drunk.
